On November 25, 2020, the 2020 Annual Conference of the National Technical Committee on Textile Metrology was held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. Attending the conference were more than 100 participants including Li Lingshen, Vice President of China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC) and Director of the Technical Committee on Textile Metrology; Peng Yanli, Deputy Secretary-General of CNTAC, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Development and Deputy Director of the Technical Committee on Textile Metrology; Ma Yongmei, Deputy General Manager of China Textile Science and Research Co., Ltd. and Deputy Director of the Technical Committee on Textile Metrology; Sun Ximin, Deputy Director of the CNTAC Department of Science and Technology Development and Secretary-General of the Technical Committee on Textile Metrology; Chen Yuli, Deputy Director of the National Textile Metrology Station and Deputy Secretary-General of the Technical Committee on Textile Metrology; Xiong Jie, Director of the Metrology and Calibration Department of Shanghai Textile Group Testing & Standard Co., Ltd. and Deputy Secretary-General of the Technical Committee on Textile Metrology; Wang Guojian, Deputy Director of the Standard Division of the CNTAC Department of Science and Technology Development and Deputy Secretary-General of the Technical Committee on Textile Metrology, as well as members and experts of the Technical Committee on Textile Metrology from national textile metrology institutions, universities, research institutes, testing organizations and instrument enterprises across the country. Experts were invited to give training and explanations on three topics at the conference, namely Format and Requirements for Compiling Experimental Reports of Textile Metrological Technical Specifications, Requirements and Compilation Skills for the Evaluation of Uncertainty in Calibration Results and Current Situation of Mask-related Testing Methods and Instrument Calibration Specifications.
The conference examined and approved 9 declared metrological calibration specifications, and commended the advanced units and individuals in national textile metrology work for 2020. Shandong Textile Research Institute won the title of Advanced Unit in National Textile Metrology Work for the first time, and Research Fellow Yang Chengli, Director of the Instrument Research Office, was awarded the title of Advanced Individual in National Textile Metrology Work.
Under the guidance and support of the National Technical Committee on Textile Metrology, Shandong Textile Research Institute has actively taken the lead in and participated in the drafting of national textile metrological technical specifications. Calibration Specification for Thermal Protective Performance Tester, led and drafted by our institute, has been publicized by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and is pending official announcement and release. Going forward, on the basis of the existing social public metrological standards for textiles, Shandong Textile Research Institute will continue to take the lead in drafting textile metrological technical specifications, establish social public metrological standards, effectively promote the application and transformation of the achievements of technical specifications, and serve the development of relevant local fields.
