On October 29, 2020, the 2020 Annual Conference on Group Standard Work of China National Textile and Apparel Council (CNTAC) was held in Enshi, Hubei Province. Attending the conference were more than 180 participants, including Li Lingshen, Vice President of CNTAC and Director of the CNTAC Standardization Technical Committee; Peng Yanli, Deputy Secretary-General of CNTAC, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Development and Deputy Director of the CNTAC Standardization Technical Committee; Fu Guangwei, Deputy Director of the CNTAC Standardization Technical Committee and Chairman of the China Textile Engineering Society; Zhang Deliang, Deputy Leader of the CNTAC Expert Advisory Committee and Vice President of Shanghai Textile Research Institute; Sun Ximin, Secretary-General of the CNTAC Standardization Technical Committee and Deputy Director of the CNTAC Department of Science and Technology Development; Wang Guojian, Deputy Secretary-General of the CNTAC Standardization Technical Committee and Deputy Director of the Standard Division of the CNTAC Department of Science and Technology Development, as well as representatives of the deputy director units of the CNTAC Standardization Technical Committee, experts from the Expert Advisory Committee of the CNTAC Standardization Technical Committee, members of the Standardization Technical Committee and representatives of standard drafting units.

This annual conference summarized the group standardization work of the previous year, commended the advanced units and individuals with outstanding performance in the 2020 group standardization work, and conducted assessment and supplementary election of registered individual members in accordance with the articles of association. Five special reports were delivered after the conference, and one national standard Textiles - General Technical Requirements Based on Consumer Experience and 12 CNTAC group standards including Cotton Towels for Maternity and Infant Use of Medical Grade were examined and approved. Among them, Test Method for Heat Resistance of Thermal Protective Fabrics and Protective Clothing - Test Method for Electrostatic Properties - Charge Decay Method, drafted by Shandong Textile Research Institute, were successfully approved by experts. Revisions will be made for further improvement in accordance with experts' comments for submission and approval in the follow-up.
