In the battle against COVID-19 in Wuhan, Hubei Institute for Medical Device Control is responsible for the benchmark evaluation, inspection and testing of anti-epidemic products (unregistered domestic medical emergency products such as medical masks and protective clothing) under the emergency call of the COVID-19 Prevention and Control Headquarters of Hubei Provincial People's Government and the COVID-19 Prevention and Control Leading Group of Hubei Provincial Medical Products Administration. At 10 p.m. on January 27, Hubei Institute for Medical Device Supervision and Inspection received the inspection task of 6 batches of medical protective clothing. The technical personnel worked round the clock and completed all inspection tasks within 24 hours, half a working day ahead of the scheduled time.
The instrument used for the synthetic blood penetration performance test of medical protective clothing is the LFY-228 Medical Protective Clothing Synthetic Blood Penetration Tester, independently developed by Shandong Textile Research Institute.

Main Application
It is suitable for testing the resistance of protective clothing to synthetic blood penetration under different levels of test pressure.
Working Principle
The protective clothing material is tested with synthetic blood under continuously applied pressure, and the penetration of synthetic blood on the material is inspected visually.
Instrument Features
1. The instrument adopts an air source that can provide a pressure of (20±1) kPa for continuous pressurization of the test sample, without being limited by the space of the test site.
2. The instrument is equipped with a pressure gauge to display the pressurization pressure, and the pressurization pressure is adjustable.
3. Pressurization medium: compressed air.
4. A specially made stainless steel penetration test tank ensures firm clamping of the test sample and prevents synthetic blood from splashing around.
5. Square metal barrier net: open area ≥50%; deflection ≤5mm under 14kPa pressure.
6. Digital display timer with an accuracy of ±0.01min.
7. The instrument is equipped with a clamp that can generate a torque of 13.5N·m.
8. The structure of the instrument is consistent with the "Schematic Diagram of Test Instrument" and "Structure of Test Tank" specified in the national standard GB19082-2009.
