In accordance with the arrangements of the July 1st activity plan of the Institute's Party Committee, the Scientific Research and Production Party Branch and the Comprehensive Function Party Branch of Shandong Textile Research Institute jointly organized a thematic Party Day activity themed "Visit the Red Education Base and Inherit the Revolutionary Spirit" on the afternoon of July 21st. All members went to Qingdao Textile Museum for a group visit and study, received the edification of Party history and Party building education as well as revolutionary tradition education, further inspired the sense of honor, responsibility and mission of Party members. They personally felt the textile industry culture, received the baptism of red industrial spirit, experienced the historical changes of the century-old textile industry in their hometown, and recalled the century-old memories.
Taking time as the main thread, the commentator elaborated on the century-old development history of Qingdao's textile industry. With detailed historical materials and physical objects, the glorious achievements of Qingdao's textile industry were truly reproduced. Originating in 1902, Qingdao's textile industry grew amid the flames of war in troubled times, accumulated during the construction period, matured in the reform and opening-up era, and after going through a century of trials and hardships, paved the way for urban development. Everyone was deeply inspired by the spirit of "Hao Jianxiu Group" of daring to take responsibility, being willing to dedicate, pursuing excellence and forging ahead with innovation. Every picture and every object displayed in the museum brought everyone back to the glorious years created by Qingdao workers. From each machine to every sign, every part bears the marks of vicissitudes and witnesses the history.
Only by not forgetting history can we create the future. This visit enabled everyone to have a deeper understanding of the development history of Qingdao's textile industry, fully felt the interweaving and collision of history and modernity, which will drive the majority of Party members and cadres to actively engage in reform and innovation, tackle difficulties, and transformational development with full enthusiasm and high morale. They will practice the spirit of the Party's 20th National Congress with practical actions, unswervingly use Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era to strengthen their ideals and beliefs, and transform it into a powerful force for strengthening ideals, tempering Party spirit, guiding practice and promoting work.
