YY/T 1799-2020 Technical Requirements for Reusable Medical Protective Clothing

/

1 Water Vapor Transmission Rate
Test shall be conducted in accordance with the method specified in GB/T 12704.1—2009. The water vapor transmission rate of protective clothing materials shall be not less than 2500 g/(m³•24h) or the marked value (whichever is larger).

2 Resistance to Synthetic Blood Penetration
When tested in accordance with Procedure C or D in Table 1 of YY/T 0700—2008, the protective clothing materials shall meet the requirements of Grade 2 or above specified in Table 1.

3 Tensile Strength at Break
Test shall be conducted in accordance with the strip method specified in GB/T 3923.1—2013. The tensile strength at break of protective clothing materials shall be not less than 45 N.

4 Flame Retardant Performance
If the protective clothing is claimed to have flame retardant performance, the combustion performance test shall be conducted in accordance with the vertical method specified in GB/T 5455—2014 and shall meet the following requirements:
a) Damaged length shall not exceed 200 mm;
b) Afterflame time shall not exceed 15 s;
c) Glow time shall not exceed 10 s.

5 Surface Water Repellency
Test shall be conducted in accordance with GB/T 4745—2012. The outer surface of the protective clothing shall be rated for spray resistance in accordance with Clause 9.1 of GB/T 4745—2012, and the rating shall be not lower than the grade marked by the manufacturer.

6 Resistance to Blood-borne Pathogen Penetration
For protective clothing intended to contact blood or body fluids in the form of splashing or spraying, the test shall be conducted in accordance with YY/T 0689—2008. The grade shall be determined according to the performance level given in Table 1 and shall be not lower than the grade marked by the manufacturer.
Note: YY/T 0700—2008 may be used for the screening of this test to predict the expected level, and its test results can be used as the basis for determining non-conformity, but not for conformity.

7 Resistance to Moist Microorganism Penetration
For protective clothing intended to contact infectious agents under the combined action of friction, pressure and wetting, the test shall be conducted in accordance with YY/T 0506.6—2009. The grade shall be determined according to the performance level given in Table 3 and shall be not lower than the grade marked by the manufacturer.

9 Antistatic Performance
If the protective clothing is claimed to have antistatic performance, the test shall be conducted in accordance with GB/T 12703.3—2009. The charge amount of the protective clothing shall be not more than 0.6 pC per piece.
If the protective clothing is not claimed to have antistatic performance, the manufacturer shall provide relevant warning information on the accompanying documents or packaging.

10 Water Resistance
Test shall be conducted in accordance with the method specified in GB/T 4744—2013. The hydrostatic pressure of the test sample including seams shall be not less than 1.67 kPa (17 cmH₂O).

11 Penetration Resistance
Test shall be conducted in accordance with the method specified in Clause 5.7 of GB 19082—2009. The penetration rate of the test sample including seams to non-oily particles shall be not more than 30%.
