On December 6, 2016, the China Textile Industry Association organized and held a project appraisal meeting in Qingdao City for two projects completed by the Shandong Textile Science Research Institute and the Shandong Key Laboratory of Special Textile Processing Technology. The projects were "Development of a Medical Compression Sock Compression Performance Testing Instrument" and "Development of a Blood Sample Collection Device with Pre-set Function for Blood Collection Performance Testing". Academicians Yao Mu and several experts from universities such as Donghua University and Qingdao University, as well as institutions such as the National Textile Metrology Station, the Industrial Products Inspection Center of Shandong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the Fourth Zero-One Hospital of the People's Liberation Army, and the Qingdao Second Convalescent Hospital of the Jilin Military Region, formed the appraisal committee.
At the appraisal meeting, the project team presented the research results and the progress of the work to the appraisal committee. The expert group reviewed the research report, listened to the presentation, and through questioning, answering and discussion, the appraisal committee unanimously agreed that these two scientific research projects have reached the international advanced level in terms of technology, and agreed to pass the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements.
