On December 6, 2012, the Science and Technology Department of Shandong Province and the China Textile Industry Federation organized experts to conduct a scientific and technological achievement appraisal for three projects of our institute: "Research on Key Technologies for Resistance to Contact Heat in Protective Materials and Development of Related Instruments", "Research on Key Technologies for Detecting Dry and Wet State Inverse Reflection Coefficient Performance of Warning Protective Clothing and Development of Related Instruments", and "Research on Key Technologies for Leather Breathability and Water Resistance and Development of Related Instruments". Academician Yao Mu and several experts from universities such as Xi'an Polytechnic University, Donghua University, Beijing Institute of Fashion Technology, Qingdao University, as well as the National Textile Metrology Station and the Industrial Products Inspection Center of Shandong Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau formed the appraisal committee.
At the appraisal meeting, the project team presented the research results and the progress of the work to the appraisal committee. The expert group reviewed the research report, listened to the presentation, and through questioning, answering and discussion, the appraisal committee unanimously agreed that these three scientific research projects had all reached the international advanced level in terms of technical level, and agreed to pass the appraisal of scientific and technological achievements.
