The paper titled "Research on Evaluation System for Flame Retardant and Heat Insulation Properties of Protective Clothing and Development of Detection Instruments" by Shandong Provincial Institute of Textile Science was published in the 8th issue of "Shanghai Textile Technology" in 2012. Abstract: The testing mechanism for the flame retardant and heat insulation properties of protective clothing is expounded. Its technical features are introduced. Based on GB8965.2—2009 "Flame Retardant Protection of Protective Clothing - Part 2: Welded Clothing", an instrument for detecting the heat insulation performance of protective clothing was developed, which can conduct tests using three methods. A mathematical model reflecting the anti-melting performance of protective clothing was created. Six different materials were measured and analyzed. The results show that the temperature control in this study is accurate, and the test results have good reproducibility. This provides a reliable detection method for improving the quality of flame retardant protective clothing materials.
