Instrument Usage
The bending performance of fabrics is an important physical parameter for us to study the stiffness, draping, softness, etc. of fabrics. This instrument uses two mechanical indicators, namely the bending length (also known as the hanging rigidity) and the bending stiffness (also known as the bending rigidity), to express "the ability of a fabric to resist shape changes in its bending direction", which are collectively referred to as rigidity.
The instrument is applicable for the stiffness tests of various woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, general non-woven fabrics, coated fabrics, and other textile products. It is also suitable for the stiffness tests of flexible materials such as paper, leather, and films.
Instrument Features
An "invisible" detection inclined plane composed of infrared light beams is used instead of the traditional visible inclined plane, achieving non-contact detection and overcoming the problem of measurement accuracy affected by the sample twisting and being lifted by the inclined plane. At the same time, it makes it possible to adjust the measurement inclination angle.
The automatic detection system overcomes the shortcomings of visual inspection and enhances the anti-interference ability. The automatic lifting device of the sample pressure plate ensures the accuracy and consistency of the positioning of the pressure plate and the sample, and improves work efficiency.
