LFY-630 Chair Seat Cushion Flame Retardant Performance Tester
Main purpose
This instrument is used to test the flame-retardant properties of wheelchair seat (backrest) cushion materials towards cigarettes and matches.
Overall Laboratory Plan
1. The test framework should be placed in a fume hood (provided by the user), with the control box located outside the fume hood. During the experiment, the operator operates the control box while the test framework conducts a combustion test in the enclosed environment within the fume hood. The fume hood is connected to the ventilation system of the laboratory for smoke exhaust.
The ventilation system of the fume hood controls the air flow rate in the test space, ensuring that the wind speed on the surface of the test frame is between 0.02 and 0.2 meters per second. The air flow rate can be adjusted and controlled.
(Notes: The igniter is a handheld operation type for ignition. The observation window of the fume hood should be opened within 20 seconds after ignition to facilitate the ignition process; after ignition is completed, the observation window should be closed. The combustion should be carried out in a sealed environment, and the experimental status should be observed. The wind speed throughout the process should remain within the required range.)
2. Constant Temperature Water Bath Box:
1) The heating tube is heating.
2) The test chamber is equipped with a heating device, a refrigeration device and a circulating water pump, ensuring that the constant temperature water bath maintains a uniform temperature of 20℃, with a control accuracy of ±2℃.
3) PID temperature control regulation. Temperature setting and measurement: displayed numerically.
4) The water tank is equipped with a closed-loop circulation system, ensuring thorough mixing.
5) The box has the functions of water supply at the top and bottom.
6) The box body is designed with all stainless steel, featuring corrosion resistance, long service life, and good insulation performance. Insulation materials are added to the test area surface, providing excellent insulation effect. Copper pipes are laid inside the water bath box.
7) The box is equipped with power overload and short-circuit protection.
8) Power Supply: 220V 50Hz.
Technical indicators
1. Dimensions of the stainless steel combustion tube: outer diameter (8 ± 0.1) mm, inner diameter (6.5 ± 0.1) mm, length (200 ± 5) mm.
2. The equipment parameters are fully in accordance with the requirements of GB/T 18029-2000 and ISO 7176-16: 1997. Additionally, a fixture bar for holding small test samples has been added.
The length and height of the back frame are (450 ± 2) mm and (300 ± 2) mm respectively, while the width and depth of the seat frame are (450 ± 2) mm and (150 ± 2) mm respectively.
3. Ignition time: Can be set from 0 to 99.99 seconds at will, with an accuracy of 0.01 seconds.
4. Timing for progressive smoldering and flame combustion: 0 to 1 hour, accuracy: ±1 second.
5. The flow rate of the gas flowmeter at 20°C is: (45 ± 2) mL/min. The flowmeter is detachable for easy calibration and the pressure at the outlet can be adjusted.
6. The fuel gas is propane. The gas cylinders and the gas are provided by the user.
7. The ignition time, progressive smoldering duration and flame burning duration are all automatically recorded and displayed numerically.
8. Air flow control system: The flow rate of the combustible gas flowing towards the ignition source of the gas flame and the pressure at the outlet can be adjusted.
9. The instrument is equipped with a gas leakage alarm device.
10. The constant temperature water bath box has inlet and outlet air ports connected to the external air pipe. Inside, there are coiled copper tubes. The temperature can be set and adjusted. The outlet is equipped with a temperature calibration device. The flexible hose connecting the flowmeter and the combustion tube is 2.0 to 3 meters long and has an inner diameter of (7 ± 1) mm. The temperature of the constant temperature water bath is controlled at (20 ± 2) ℃.
11. The laboratory temperature should be maintained at a stable level of (20 ± 2) degrees Celsius.
12. The equipment is equipped with a collection tray for burning ashes, which makes cleaning easier.
13. Users are required to bring their own masks, goggles, work clothes, etc.
14. Working power supply: AC 220V, 50Hz.
