LFY-658 Carpet 4.5° Combustion Performance Testing Instrument

Main purpose 
This standard specifies the test method and evaluation for the burning performance of carpet samples placed at a 45° angle in a laboratory under controlled conditions, with the surface of the carpet sample exposed to the flame. It is applicable to carpets with various fiber components and organizational structures. 
Principle

Under the specified test conditions, ignite the surface of the 45° inclined carpet sample for a certain period of time, and measure the continuous burning time, smoldering time and damage length of the sample. 
Instrument characteristics 
The combustion chamber of the 45° combustion tester is made of stainless steel. The chamber should be equipped with a glass observation window. A smoke exhaust outlet is installed at the top of the chamber, and there are a row of ventilation holes on both sides at the lower part. The chamber is equipped with a sample holding frame device that is at a 45° angle to the horizontal position. The tester consists of a ignition timing device, an ignition device, and a safety control system, etc. 
Technical indicators

1. The inlet pressure of the burner is 3.92 kPa (400 mmH2O), and the flame height can be adjusted to 24 mm. 
2. Ignition timing range: (0 - 99.99) ± 0.1 seconds, which can be pre-set. 
3. The burner is composed of a combustion tube, a gas nozzle and a flame stabilizer. 
4. Steel ruler: The graduation value is 1mm. 
5. Fuel used: Gas source: Utilize butane gas or liquefied petroleum gas. 
6. The test frame is composed of a pressure box and a base plate. The external dimensions of the pressure box are 400mm in length and 220mm in width, while the internal dimensions are 360mm in length and 180mm in width. The size of the base plate is 485mm in length and 220mm in width. 
7. Sample size: Length 400mm × Width 220mm; 3 pieces in both lengthwise and crosswise directions. 
8. Working power supply: AC 220v; 50Hz.
