Main Description
The dry state microbial penetration performance tester/dry state bacterial barrier tester is specifically designed for measuring the performance of materials in preventing the penetration of dry particles within the size range of human skin scales by bacteria.
During the test, the samples are fixed on separate containers. In these containers, 5 containers carrying Bacillus subtilis talcum powder and 1 container with uninfected talcum powder as a control are included. A petri dish is inserted close to the bottom of each container at a certain distance from the time point.
The equipment supporting the containers is made to vibrate by a gas ball-type oscillator. All the talcum powder that penetrates the samples falls onto the petri dishes, and the petri dishes are then discarded. The experimental results are evaluated by counting the grown colonies.
